The Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science is offering grants to students, new graduates and medical laboratory assistants to attend the LABCON 2010 Conference in Edmonton AB May 28 – June 1, 2010.

The grants consist of the following:

  • Free registration for the congress (a $500 value)
  • Up to $2,000 to cover travel/accommodation costs

A total of six grants are available:

  • 2 for new medical laboratory technology graduates
  • 3 for medical laboratory technology students
  • 1 for a CSMLS certified medical laboratory assistant

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current CSMLS Membership

Medical Laboratory Technologists - New Graduates
  • Have achieved CSMLS certification within the last five years (not before 2005)
Medical Laboratory Technology Students
  • Be enrolled in the clinical year of a full-time CMA accredited medical laboratory technology education program
Medical Laboratory Assistants
  • Be certified as a medical laboratory assistant by the CSMLS

Winners of the 2009 Leadership Forum Grant are not eligible
