A Step by Step Guide - Preparing Scientific Poster Exhibits
Tips on Preparing Powerful Poster Presentation
On behalf of the Congress Scientific Committee of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in our 2008 National Congress.
The 2008 Congress promises to be an enriching experience. The multidisciplinary program will offer topics to satisfy all interests. You are invited to submit an abstract for a scientific session and/or a poster presentation.
Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts must adequately describe the objectives and results so that the quality, originality and completeness of the work can be evaluated.
Each abstract must contain the following:
OBJECTIVE: Indicate primary purpose of study
MATERIALS AND METHODS: description of data sources, subjects, design measurements and data analysis
RESULTS: summary of results
CONCLUSION: statement of the study’s conclusions and/or implication of the results
Session abstracts must clearly state three to five learning objectives
( i.e. what will the participant learn from attending the session?).
