Patient Focused Quality Competence Part 1: Understanding ...

Patient Focused Quality Competence Part 1: Understanding the Basics (5004-11) Gain understanding and competence to close the confirmed gap between quality control as recommended by the experts and everyday practice in many (most) medical laboratories worldwide. Many lab staff when asked say quality control makes them feel lost, confused, scared or frustrated. This series will replace that confusion with confidence and proven competence. Simulators allow you to model the impact of changes in quality required or produced and the efficiency of various quality control strategies. It will enable you to stand up and promise your clinicians, patients and administration that you will always report patient results that are close enough to right. Part 1 sets a solid foundation with a thorough yet simple understanding of basic concepts and the requirements for Patient-Focused Laboratory Quality. Version Date: July 2011
