The goal of this course is to give the student a basic grasp of what are the key chemical and physical hazards that pertain to laboratory work, to be able to determine the appropriate procedures for safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, emergency procedures and to come away with an understanding of the ergonomic issues in the lab and how to deal with them.
