French: New Career Opportunity: Marketing Specialist – 24 month Contract Position

This position designs and implements the annual marketing plan to build CSMLS awareness on a national level with internal and external stakeholders through various marketing programs.

Accountabilities

  • Designs and implements an annual marketing plan for all CSMLS teams.
  • Assists with the research and implementation of a new brand.
  • Builds CSMLS awareness nationally with internal such as members and external such as government, public stakeholders through the development and implementation of marketing programs.
  • Conducts focus groups to generate primary research data and to evaluate marketing program effectiveness.
  • Creates membership campaigns, new members and loyalty programs, renewals.
  • Manages the 75th Anniversary process from inception through to completion (to be held 2012).
  • Develops a strategy for the recruitment and retention of Volunteer opportunities within CSMLS.

Skills

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills are pivotal to establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize are essential to aid working to tight deadlines and multi-tasking.
  • Experience in managing large event planning.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Can work independently with ease or be a contributing member of a team.
  • Highly motivated individual with collaborative approach to work and proven problem solving skill especially when under pressure.

Requirements

  • A college diploma or university degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in computer, standard corporate software applications and applicable systems skills as required.
  • Experience in the not for profit sector and bilingualism is an asset.
